A quick trip to pick up some chalk from the chalk store took me for a trip down memory lane. I drove past the spot where my baby brother Shane was in a motorcycle accident almost five years ago on my birthday.
He could have died that day and defied the odds of survival. Shane was also given a 1% chance that he’d ever walk again and has defied those odds as well. He also went on to get back on stage after his horrific accident to compete in the sport he loves, Bodybuilding.
When I hear people say “I’m doing everything I can and it’s not working”, I ask myself are you really doing everything you can or are you just telling yourself that?
What Shane went through and did to recover over the minutes, hours, days, and years is what it takes to get to where he is (and I know he’s not done yet).
I hope this gives you a little motivation and reminds you that all the little things done over and over and over is what will get you where you want to be. Not trying something for a week or two then saying “I gave it my all” and quitting.
Stay tuned for a 1:1 podcast with my baby bro Shane Dyck and see what you can take away from his thrive and survive mentality.
Thanks for the read and the listen!
